La quietud del tiempo. Una reflexión pictórica de la intimidad emocional del individuo

Abstract

En la presente memoria hablo en primer lugar sobre una serie de movimientos y artistas que han influenciado, aunque indirectamente en mi trabajo. A continuación realizo una breve descripción de los aspectos generales que me interesan en cada caso y posteriormente trato de analizar mi pintura; una serie de retratos realizados al óleo en los que busco el aspecto psicológico y la introspección del individuo, también encontraremos alguna obra de carácter paisajístico. Estas pinturas muestran una reflexión sobre el paso del tiempo y de como éste, hace mella en nosotros. La respuesta a esa reflexión se haya en el conjunto mismo de la obra, donde la calma y la tranquilidad se muestran en diversas formas y aspectos, para transportarnos a un estado anímico de ralentización temporal, donde la pintura trata de retener el momento, de ahí el título del proyecto La Quietud del Tiempo. Las obras están resueltas con la misma técnica y pretenden asimismo evolucionar con los distintos movimientos y artistas que la influencian.

In this memory I speak first on a series of movements and artists who have influenced, though not directly, in my work. Then I make a brief description of the general issues that interest me in each case and then I try to analyze my painting; a series of oil portraits, on which I have looked for the psychological aspect and the introspection of the individual, we also find some work of landscape nature. These paintings show a reflection on the passage of time and how it makes its on us. The answer to that reflection is in the body itself of the work, where calm and tranquility are shown in various shapes and forms, to transport us to a temporary slowdown mood, where painting tries to retain time, hence project’s title Stillness of Time. The works are made with the same technique and they also intend to evolve with the different movements and artists that have influenced it.
