dc.description.abstract | [EN] Four active compounds were used separately (oregano essential oil and his respective main compound, carvacrol; clove essential oil and his respective main compound) to obtain bilayer films of polyhydroxybutyrate-cohydroxyvalerate (PHBV) with antimicrobial activity by compression-moulding. Active compounds were sprayed with 15 g oil/100 g polymer in the interface between two layers of PHBV that were joined by thermo-compression. Equilibrated films to 25 ºC and 53 % of relative moisture for 1 week were characterized in its physical properties. At the same time, the antimicrobial activity of the films was evaluated against Listeria innocua and Escherichia coli. Thus, the used methodology allowed to obtain bilayer films of PHBV with better water barrier capacity, more transparency and antimicrobial activity against both bacteria. | es_ES |
