RECURSOS CREATIVOS EN EL TALLER DE ESCULTURA. ESTUDIO DE CASOS

Abstract

[EN] I study the need that prompt people to create things themselves. People that from the beginning of any problem immediately start to sea rch for a solution in their own ingenuity, creativity and hands, without looking where they could buy it first or surrendering the quest for it. To start with I begin with a study on the revival of making things yourself, on the need to create which has b een diminished by the system in which we live, in a consumer society of unsustainable production policy as planned obsolescence. I investigate movements like “Do it your self” (DIY) or “technological di sobedience” and some of the new emerging platforms whic h encourage people to build things themselves and to share the information about it by publishing handbooks, videos and manuals. That movements that support recycling and repairing rather than using and throwaway. At the final stage of the paper I will fo cus the attention to the artist and craftsman who carry out production of his machinery, tools and resources within a sculpture workshop with special attention to artistic foundry, provided that all objects have been created, mounted, built and crafted as original pieces as a result of an investigation either by using recycled parts, objects and materials or reinterpreting its benefits, appreciating the intervention of human hand in the process of creation as well as the analysis of that platform or places where this information has been shared. As reinforcement I will arrange visits to various workshops which are using all these characteristic elements on a daily basis.

[ES] Estudio la necesidad de crear de las propias personas. Gente que ante un problema busca una solución acudiendo a su ingenio, creatividad y sus propias manos, sin mirar dónde lo venden o rindiéndose a encontrarlo si no existe... Como introducción comienzo con un estudio sobre el resurgir de hacerse uno mismo las cosas, sobre la necesidad de crear, bajo mi punto de vista mermada por el sistema en el que vivimos, en una sociedad de consumo con políticas de producción insostenibles como la obsolescen cia programada. Investigo movimientos como “hazlo tú mismo” ( Do it yourself ) o “desobediencia tecnológica” y algunas de las nuevas plataformas emergentes, valedoras del construirse uno mismo las cosas y compartir la información ( makers ). Que incentiven el reciclar, reparar, en lugar de usar y tirar. E l Trabajo centra finalmente su punto de atención en el artista y artesano que lleva a cabo la realización de sus maquinarias, herramientas y recursos dentro de un taller de escultura, con especial atención al taller de fundición artística, siempre que hayan sido creados, montados, construidos de una forma artesanal y original, como consecuencia de una investigación, ya sea reciclando piezas, objetos, materiales o reinterpretando sus utilidades, valorando la intervención de la mano en los procesos de creación , así como el análisis de las plataformas o lugares donde se ha compartido toda esa información. Como refuerzo me dispongo a visitar diferentes talleres que presenten estas c aracterísticas en la actuali dad .
