CATALOGACIÓN DE FOTOGRAFÍAS ESTEREOSCÓPICAS DE PRINCIPIOS DE SIGLO XX. COLECCIÓN PRIVADA FAMILIA MONTESINOS

Abstract

[EN] Photographs and family albums create an extensive personal archive that runs through the stories of families. Through the stereoscopic photographs from the early twentieth century many wealthy families documented both their trips and their everyday lives. Consuelo Moret Zacarés’s family was an example of one of those families. The Moret family owned a stereoscopic camera and took photographs of the evolution of their house in the town of Jávea. These photographs trace the life of Consuelo Moret while showing the various changes in society, the town and the port of Jávea. It is a photographic archive that contains part of the history of the family, where the nexus and the unifying element is both Villa Consuelo and Consuelo Moret. The objective of this project is unearthing the history contained in these images and make them accessible to the public. Retrieve a family archive and analyze the role of the album and memories while rebuilding the lives of the characters

[ES] Las fotografías y álbums familiares crean un extenso archivo personal que recorre las historias de las familias. A través de las fotografías estereoscópicas de principios del siglo XX muchas familias acomodadas documentaron tanto sus viajes como sus vidas cotidianas. Este fue el caso de la familia de Consuelo Moret Zacarés. La familia Moret poseía una cámara estereoscópica y con ella realizaron fotografías de la evolución de su villa en el municipio de Jávea. Estas fotografías recorren la vida de Consuelo Moret a la vez que muestran los distintos cambios en la sociedad, la villa y el puerto de Jávea. Se crea así un archivo fotográfico que recoge una parte de la historia de la familia, donde el nexo y el elemento unificador es tanto Consuelo Moret como Villa Consuelo. El objetivo que persigue este proyecto es desenterrar la historia contenida en estas imágenes y hacerlas accesibles al público. Recuperar un archivo familiar y analizar el papel del álbum y la memoria en el ámbito familiar, reconstruyendo de nuevo la vida de los personajes.
