Revitalización arquitectónica de Rebun: Integrando tradición y sostenibilidad

La elección de este lugar se fundamenta en dos aspectos clave: el decrecimiento de la población debido a la migración hacia las grandes ciudades, un problema que afecta a todo Japón desde hace años, y el potencial significativo que ofrece esta isla para su revitalización. Además, se están promoviendo iniciativas para fomentar la migración a la isla mediante oportunidades laborales respaldadas por la propia comunidad local. Tras observar la escasez de alojamientos que limita tanto la visita como el establecimiento de personas en este lugar, se propone una estrategia de revitalización para la isla de Rebun. Esta estrategia consiste en dotar a la isla de alojamientos mediante un programa combinado de viviendas y hotel, con el objetivo de atender a la población local, turistas y aquellos que deseen establecerse en la isla. Para abordar este desafío, se ha optado por un sistema modular de prefabricación, el cual ofrece la flexibilidad de ser ubicado en diferentes áreas de la isla. Estos alojamientos modulares podrán situarse tanto en zonas de pescadores como en el interior, proporcionando servicios a las rutas de senderismo y garantizando así una experiencia integral para los visitantes. Se trata de trabajar la tradición utilizando materiales locales a través de un nuevo sistema constructivo. Esta iniciativa no solo permitirá satisfacer la demanda de alojamiento, sino que también contribuirá a impulsar el desarrollo económico y turístico de la isla de Rebun, fomentando la llegada de nuevas personas y generando oportunidades para la comunidad local.

Hiking and trekking are popular activities to explore the island's breathtaking landscapes, which include cliffs, hills, forests, mountains, and waterfalls. Tourism and fishing are the main industries of Rebun, and a sustainable approach is promoted to protect and preserve the unique nature of the island. The choice of this place is based on two key aspects: the decrease in the population due to migration to big cities, a problem that has affected all of Japan for years, and the significant potential that this island offers for its revitalization. In addition, initiatives are being promoted to encourage migration to the island through job opportunities supported by the local community itself. After observing the scarcity of accommodation that limits both the visit and the establishment of people in this place, a revitalization strategy is proposed for the island of Rebun. This strategy consists of providing the island with accommodation through a combined housing and hotel program, with the aim of serving the local population, tourists and those who wish to settle on the island. To address this challenge, a modular prefabrication system has been chosen, which offers the flexibility of being located in different areas of the island. These modular accommodations can be located both in fishing areas and inland, providing services to the hiking trails and thus guaranteeing a comprehensive experience for visitors. It is about working on tradition using local materials through a new construction system. This initiative will not only satisfy the demand for accommodation, but will also contribute to boosting the economic and tourist development of the island of Rebun, encouraging the arrival of new people and generating opportunities for the local community.
