Do the outsourcing activities executed by companies meet the reduction of costs expected by them?

Abstract

[EN] This research aims to investigate if the cost reduction achieved by outsourcing companies meets their expectations. In order to do so, this study has been divided in five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction. This chapter explains why this topic has been chosen, provides some background and explains the research objectives and questions. Chapter number two is the preliminary literature review. This chapter aims to analyze what the theory says about what this research tries to prove. During this chapter the outsourcing reasons are introduced. Also, what are the companies¿ expectations and what are the hidden costs is analyzed. This chapter concludes with an outline of the preparative activities that companies must follow before outsourcing. The third chapter is Methodology. Through this chapter the methodology choice, the processes of data collection and the sample are justified. This chapter also includes a case study research, the description of the data analysis technique and an explanation of the methodological problems. Analysis of findings is carried out in chapter four. During this chapter, the findings around the research objectives are exposed. The last chapter of this research is conclusions and recommendations. During this chapter, the research questions have been answered. To conclude, recommendations based on the findings are given.
