Museo etnológico en Castalla

Abstract

Desde el Taller A, perteneciente al departamento de proyectos arquitectónicos (UPV), se ha establecido un convenio de colaboración con el ayuntamiento de Castalla para confeccionar proyectos que aporten ideas, tanto en el terreno edilicio como en el urbanístico. Castalla es un pueblo que potencialmente tiene una gran oferta histórico-cultural, fundamentalmente protagonizada por su castillo. Pero actualmente cuenta con un casco histórico que sufre problemas de abandono y deterioro. El presente proyecto prevé realizar una serie de actuaciones, que ayuden a paliar esta situación. La zona de trabajo, dentro del casco histórico y en ladera, presenta un terreno con una acusada pendiente. Esta circunstancia ha hecho que los solares existentes en esa zona, estén vacantes u ocupados por ruinas, producto de derribos por movimientos de tierras de la ladera. También se encuentran una serie de elementos construidos, que tratan de contener el terreno y que no han sido incorporados a la trama urbana.

A nivel urbanístico, en esta zona, se proponen viviendas de nueva planta y dotaciones que también van a tratar de incorporar las preexistencias al proyecto urbano. De esta manera se facilitaría el acceso, tanto a los residentes como a los visitantes al castillo, situado en la parte superior del casco histórico. A nivel edilicio y proyectual, se va a proyectar un museo etnológico junto a la entrada de la subida al castillo. Con esta nueva dotación, se intenta facilitar el acceso a la oferta cultural de la población y reorganizar sus espacios circundantes.

From Workshop A, belonging to the Department of Architectural Projects (UPV), a collaboration agreement has been established with the municipality of Castalla to create projects that provide ideas, both in the building land and in the urban area. Castalla is a town that potentially has a great historical-cultural offer, mainly starring its castle. But currently it has a historic center that suffers from problems of abandonment and deterioration. The present project foresees to carry out a series of actions that help to alleviate this situation. The work area, within the historic center and on the hillside, has a steep slope. This circumstance has made the existing lots in that area, are vacant or occupied by ruins, product of demolitions by earthworks of the slope. There are also a series of built elements that try to contain the land and that have not been incorporated into the urban fabric.

At the urban level, in this area, new homes and endowments are proposed that will also try to incorporate the pre-existing to the urban project. This would facilitate access, both to residents and visitors to the castle, located in the upper part of the historic center. At the building and project level, an ethnological museum will be projected next to the entrance to the castle. With this new endowment, it is tried to facilitate the access to the cultural offer of the population and to reorganize its surrounding spaces.
