dc.description.abstract[EN] A space frame chassis will be designed for a single seater race car. The design of the chassis must comply with the rules stipulated by the Formula SAE 2013. Different materials such as steel, aluminium or titanium will be researched in order to obtain the best balance between performance, weight and price. Driver safety is one of the main objectives considered in the design of the chassis for this competition. A 95th percentile male driver will be used as reference. The principal aims are to obtain a good torsional stiffness and lightweight designen_EN
