Hotel y escuela de hostelería y turismo en las naves del Grao

[ES] El Hotel y Escuela de Hostelería y Turismo se proyecta en el interior de dos naves ubicadas en el Grao de Valencia que están actualmente en desuso y en un estado de marcado abandono. Se plantea la rehabilitación de ambas naves para dotarlas principalmente de un uso cultural, consolidando de esta forma la predominancia cultural de la calle Juan Verdeguer, junto con el centro social y urbano Las Naves, el CEIP San José de Calasanz, el CEIP El Grau y el IES Balears. El programa se reparte entre ambas naves, primando el uso de hotel en la nave oeste mientras que la escuela con huerta productiva en la cubierta se situará en la nave este. La recuperación del patrimonio abandonado, la sostenibilidad y la ubicación de la huerta en el entorno urbano serán los puntos de partida para desarrollar el presente proyecto.

[EN] The Hotel and Hospitality and Tourism s School is projected inside two warehouses located in the Grao of Valencia that are currently in disuse and in a state of neglect. The rehabilitation of both buildings is proposed to provide them mainly for cultural use, thus consolidating the cultural predominance of Juan Verdeguer street, along with the social and urban center Las Naves, the CEIP San José de Calasanz, the CEIP El Grau and the IES Balears. The program is divided between the two buildings, with the hotel use in the west building, while the school with a productive orchard on the roof will be located in the east building. The recovery of the abandoned heritage, sustainability and the location of the orchard in the urban environment will be the starting points for the development of this project.
