Análisis estructural de la bóveda del Teatro Principal de Castellón

Abstract

[ES] La rehabilitación es uno de los campos con más posibilidades de trabajo en estos últimos años, y no solo de edificios de viviendas, sino también de edificios públicos e históricos, un ejemplo de ello, es el Teatro Principal de Castellón. El teatro, un edificio de finales del siglo XIX, tiene un sistema estructural a base de cerchas metálicas que sujetan la bóveda que cubre la parte pública del edificio. A través de la generación de un modelo estructural mediante el método de los elementos finitos, se ha analizado el estado actual. Este análisis ha estado compuesto por dos fases, el cálculo lineal y el no lineal. Se han comparado los resultados de ambos cálculos a través de las tensiones generadas. También se ha evaluado la carga máxima que podría soportar toda la estructura y se ha comprobado la resistencia máxima de las uniones.

[EN] Restoration is one of the building fields with most possibilities and potential these last years, not only talking about housing, but also public buildings and historical constructions. An example of these is Castellón's Main Theatre. The theater, a building from the late nineteenth century, has a structural system based on steel trusses hold the dome that covers the public part of the building. Through the generation of a structural model using the finite element method, we analyzed the current state. This analysis had been composed of two phases, the linear calculation and no-linear calculation. We compared the results of both calculations through the generated tensions. Also it evaluated the maximum load that could support all the structure and resistance high bond strength.
