Abstract

[ES] El Proyecto de restauracion del Sindicat Arroser de Alfafar (Valencia) declarado Bien de Interés Cultural con la categoría de Monumento (BIC) en 1983 y convertido en Biblioteca Pública Municipal en 1987 en el núcleo histórico de Alfafar, se inicia en el transcurso del año 2017-2018 y por petición del Ajuntament de Alfafar al arquitecto Javier Hidalgo Mora, que encarga al Grupo de Investigacion del Color en Arquitectura del IRP los estudios de color del edificio. En este artículo, se muestra el proceso del trabajo sobre la recuperacion del color histórico de este edificio emblemático de esta localidad, así como el resultado de intervención, que consistió en profundizar sobre un análisis histórico encuadrándolo en la arquitectura valenciana de inicios del siglo XX. En el conjunto del estudio cromático del edificio, unida al estudio previo de la documentación encontrada, se añade y se profundiza con un trabajo científicotécnico que apoya la investigación, caracterizada por una serie de fases que ayudan a identificar los restos de coloración y del material encontrado para establecer las directrices cromáticas a la hora de su intervención. El volver a ver el color original del edificio, recuperar el cromatismo olvidado, alterado a lo largo del tiempo, supone recuperar una etapa histórica de un pueblo donde transcurrieron diversas actividades sociales y, cuyo patrimonio arquitectónico, representa su identidad. En este estudio de investigación, se ahonda sobre las características estilísticas y compositivas del edificio, así como el proceso de determinar su cromatismo como elemento identificativo de su arquitectura y de su historia.

[EN] The Restoration Project of the Arroser Sindicat of Alfafar (Valencia) declared a Site of Cultural Interest with the category of Monument (BIC) in 1983 and converted into a Municipal Public Library in 1987 in the historic center of Alfafar, began in the course of 2017 -2018 and at the request of the Alfafar Town Hall to the architect Javier Hidalgo Mora, who entrusts the IRP's Color in Architecture Research Group with the color studies of the building. In this article, the work process on the recovery of the historical color of this emblematic building of this town is shown, as well as the result of the intervention, which consisted in delving into a historical analysis framing it in the Valencian architecture of the early twentieth century. In the whole of the chromatic study of the building, together with the previous study of the documentation found, it is added and deepened with a scientific-technical work that supports the investigation, characterized by a series of phases that help to identify the remains of coloration and the material found to establish the chromatic guidelines at the time of your intervention. Seeing the original color of the building again, recovering the forgotten chromaticism, altered over time, means recovering a historical stage of a town where various social activities took place and whose architectural heritage represents its identity. In this research study, the building's stylistic and compositional characteristics are explored, as well as the process of determining its chromaticism as an identifying element of its architecture and its history.
