Renewable Energies: Technologies, Development and Expectation in Germany, Spain and Portugal

Abstract

[EN] Nowadays, increasing utilization of renewable energy sources is a priority worldwide. Traditional sources of energy are restricted whereas renewable energies are endless. Precisely for this reason, tens of gigawatts of wind, hydropower and solar photovoltaic capacity are installed worldwide every year. During the last fifteen years, the renewable energy market has gone mainstream. For example, next picture shows the development of Solar Photovoltaic in Germany during last twelve years. This project exposes the actual situation of the renewable energies and the development in the recent years of this kind of power (focusing on Germany, Portugal and Spain). In addition, it exhibits the different technologies in the most important renewable energies: solar power, hydropower, wind power, biomass and geothermal power. Finally, it presents the social, economic and technic impact on society of the renewable energies
