Resumen

The objective of this work is analyze the dispersion in linear and nonlinear regime and it study as we can utilize these phenomena for the pulse spreads without changes in its shape during the propagation. First is analyze the causes of the dispersion in analytical and physical form and the effects that this phenomenon produces. With everything explained in this part, its is conclude that the only place where the signal will not suffers dispersion during the propagation is the vacuum because its response time corresponds with the speed of light so it is constant for all frequencies, every other medium will need a higher response time than the one needed by light which will depend on signal frequency which will cause signal dispersion. Also is concluded that 3 b will have significant effects comparing with 2 b in a zone where 2 b is practically cero or if we consider a widely range of frequencies.
