Intervención sobre el patrimonio moderno construido. Rehabilitación y ampliación en el entorno de las Escuelas Profesionales de San José

[ES] El proyecto tiene la vocación de modificar la relación de las Escuelas con la ciudad, a través de su límite, generando nuevas relaciones a través de consolidar un nuevo acceso y una secuencia de espacios públicos previos; con un nuevo uso, un gran espacio exterior cubierto que permite actividades tanto del centro como del barrio; y con la intervención sobre el Edificio Central existente haciéndolo accesible, funcional y sostenible para acoger el programa de cuidado social, una biblioteca, sala exposiciones, etc. Teniendo una especial atención sobre la manera de preservar el patrimonio existente y sus elementos característicos y en cómo integrar un nuevo volumen dentro del conjunto

[EN] The project has the vocation of modifying the relationship of the Schools with the city, through its limit, generating new relationships through consolidating a new access and a sequence of previous public spaces; with a new use, a large covered outdoor space that allows activities from both the center and the neighborhood; and with the intervention on the existing Central Building making it accessible, functional and sustainable to house the social care program, a library, exhibition hall, etc. Paying special attention to how to preserve the existing heritage and its characteristic elements and how to integrate a new volume within the complex.
