La huella de Le Corbusier en Argentina. Una mirada cinematográfica

[ES] Este Trabajo Final de Grado parte de la observación de la Casa Curutchet, única obra de Le Corbusier construida en América Latina, como escenario principal de la película "El hombre de al lado" (Cohn & Duprat, 2009). A través del análisis fílmico y arquitectónico de cuatro espacios significativos, se propone una reflexión sobre cómo el cine puede ofrecer una nueva mirada sobre la arquitectura, revelando tensiones, valores y contradicciones del habitar contemporáneo. En este recorrido, nos cuestionamos la relevancia del patrimonio moderno en la actualidad y el motivo por el cual una obra emblemática del Movimiento Moderno ha sido elegida como telón de fondo para una narrativa de conflicto cotidiano. El trabajo plantea un cruce de miradas entre la arquitectura y el cine, explorando cómo una obra construida puede adquirir nuevas capas de sentido cuando es observada a través de la cámara.

[EN] This Final Degree Project begins with the observation of the Curutchet House, the only building by Le Corbusier constructed in Latin America, used as the main setting in the film "El hombre de al lado" (Cohn & Duprat, 2009). Through the filmic and architectural analysis of four significant spaces, it offers a reflection on how cinema can provide a new perspective on architecture, revealing tensions, values, and contradictions of contemporary living. Along this path, we question the relevance of modern heritage today and the reasons why an iconic work of the Modern Movement was chosen as the backdrop for a narrative of everyday conflict. The project proposes a dialogue between architecture and cinema, exploring how a built work can acquire new layers of meaning when observed through the lens of a camera.
