Espacio vivencial y nomadismo. Interval: proyecto de fotolibro

Abstract

Las actuales circunstancias socio-económicas han hecho del desplazado una figura clave del siglo XXI. El individuo visto forzosamente a abandonar su hábitat se convierte así en ser migrante, extranjero en un espacio ajeno y por tiempo indeterminado. Tras dejar de pertenecer de manera presencial a su grupo y no formar parte integrada de otro, el extranjero es el individuo que por antonomasia se encuentra en el espacio liminar, caracterizado por la ambigüedad, la desorientación y la posibilidad. En el umbral, el individuo tantea las bases sobre las que habitará, puesto que no puede evitar establecer una relación con el espacio en que comienza a desarrollar su cotidianidad. Cómo habitar, pese al desarraigo, se encuentra en el centro de la problemática del espacio vivencial.

Due to current social and economic circumstances, the migrant has become one of the main figures in the 21st century. Individuals forced to leave their habitat thus turn into foreigners in an alien space and for an undefined period of time. Absent from their own group, and still not part of another, the foreigner is the embodiment of liminality, characterized by ambiguity, disorientation and possibility. Being in the threshold, he tries to guess the foundations of the habitat, since he cannot help establishing some kind of relation with the space where the everyday happens. How to live in a given space, despite this sense of estrangement, lies in the centre of experienced space.
