Escuela de idiomas en el barrio de Orriols

Abstract

[ES] El proyecto de escuela de idiomas se encuentra situado en la ronda Norte de la ciudad de Valencia, en el barrio de Orriols.

La zona de implantación de este se caracteriza por encontrarse en un límite entre la ciudad y la huerta y es precisamente por ello, que se cree conveniente tratar este linde de una forma más delicada de la existente en la actualidad. Es una zona donde la vía de tráfico rodado tiene una fuerte presencia, restándole importancia a las zonas verdes de las huertas.

Por consiguiente, se toman tres decisiones fundamentales para la reorganización urbana (creación de nuevos caminos que relacionan la huerta con la ciudad, revalorización de espacios verdes y urbanos y entierro del tráfico rodado en algunos puntos) que afectarán al desarrollo del proyecto.

En cuanto a la forma del proyecto, esta surge de tres premisas, que se consideran clave para el proyecto: la relación de los nuevos caminos urbanos con el espacio que ocupa el proyecto, una cuadrícula vegetal de 5 x 5 m que modula y distribuye los espacios y la elevación de la escuela un metro respecto al nivel del suelo para una mayor privatización dentro del espacio público.

[EN] The language school project is located in the North round of the city of Valencia, in the neighbourhood of Orriols.

The implantation zone is characterized to be in a limit between the city and the Orchard and it is for that reason that this border should be more delicately treated that how it is nowadays. It is an area where the road traffic has a strong presence, reducing the importance of green areas of the orchard. Therefore, three fundamental decisions are taken for the urban reorganization (creation of new roads that relate the orchard to the city, revaluation of green areas and urban spaces and road traffic burial in some points) that will affect the development of the project.

Regarding the form of the project, it comes from three premises, which are considered to be the keys of the project: the relationship between the new urban roads and the space occupied by the project, a 5 x 5 m vegetation grid that modules and distributes the spaces and the elevation of the school one meter above the ground level for a greater privatization within the public space.
