Análisis Histórico, Constructivo y patológico de la torre árabe de Riba-Roja de Túria

Abstract

[ES] La torre objeto de estudio se encuentra englobada en uno de los tres recintos amurallados de Riba-roja de Túria que han aparecido dentro del casco antiguo de la población durante la evolución urbana y que formaban parte de la defensa de la población. Además, es Bien de Interés Cultural desde el año 2005, según consta en el registro del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte. En la actualidad, se encuentra en parte absorbida y confundida con las viviendas existentes, conservándose tramos perfectamente visibles, pero en un estado de conservación bastante precario. La técnica constructiva utilizada para los muros de la torre y muralla es la tapia calicostrada de hormigón de cal y reforzada por su interior con mampostería. Esto permitía tener muros más fuertes ante los conflictos bélicos. Para poder llevar a cabo el desarrollo del trabajo, será necesario realizar una investigación previa acerca de su construcción, evolución histórica y materialidad, realizando un exhaustivo levantamiento planimétrico. Este análisis previo servirá como punto de partida ante una futura intervención en el edificio.

[EN] The tower under study is included in one of the three walled enclosures of Riba-roja de Túria that have appeared within the old town during urban evolution. Those walls were part of the defense of the city. In addition, it has been of Cultural Interest since 2005, as recorded in the register of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. At present, the monument is partly absorbed and confused with the existing dwellings, keeping perfectly visible some parts of the wall, but in a quite precarious state of conservation. The constructive technique used for the tower and wall is the rammed earth wall reinforced with lime on the outside and with masonry inside. This technique allows to have stronger walls to protect the city during wars and conflicts. In order to carry out the development of the work, it will be necessary to carry out a preliminary investigation about its construction, historical evolution and materiality, making an exhaustive planimetric survey. This preliminary analysis will serve as a starting point for future intervention in the building.
