Abstract

[EN] A steep location marked by a significant difference in height between the residential area and the port. The lack of open space and the intense port activity make it difficult for citizens to connect with the sea that has historically defined their identity. The clear need to introduce a public route contrasts with the need to increase the area for the storage and movement of boats. The project reveals an intermediate level that fully explores the linearity of an arched harbour, by means of an accessible walkway that runs along the cliff, supported by ledges and wall copings that occupy it, without interfering with harbour activity.

[ES] Un enclave escarpado y gran diferencia de cota entre núcleo habitado y puerto. La ausencia de espacio libre y el uso intenso portuario dificultan la conexión de los ciudadanos con el mar que históricamente ha definido su identidad. La clara necesidad de introducir un recorrido público se contrapone con la de incrementar superficie para el depósito y manipulación de embarcaciones. El proyecto descubre una cota intermedia que explora al máximo la linealidad de un puerto dispuesto en arco, mediante un paseo accesible que recorre el acantilado, apoyado en resaltes y coronaciones de muros que, en cierto modo, lo habita, sin interferir en la actividad portuaria.
