El habitar Genérico

[ES] A partir de una lectura de "La Ciudad Genérica" de Rem Koolhaas, he reflexionado sobre el territorio en que vivo, Valencia. He tomado como centro Benimaclet, un barrio en lucha por no perder su identidad y sus raíces de pueblo a pesar de los constantes intentos de ampliación del barrio por parte de empresas constructoras y de la imparable gentrificación sufrida a partir de la llegada masiva de estudiantes.

[EN] Due to the lecture of "The Generic City" of Rem Koolhaas, I did a reflexion about the city I live in, Valencia. I centred all this thoughts in Benimaclet, a neighbourhood that fights against the loss of its identity, despite the will of the big companies for overconstructing the neighbourhood and the suffered gentrification caused by the massive arrival of students.
