Ca Na Rovella: cooperativa de viviendas para revitalizar un barrio olvidado

Abstract

[ES] Bajo la premisa y necesidad de explorar nuevos modos de habitar nace el proyecto de hábitat colectivo que se implanta al sur de la ciudad de Valencia, en el polígono de Vicente Mortes, en el barrio de Na Rovella.

La propuesta desarrolla un programa híbrido en el que conviven distintos usos y cuyo hilo conductor y reflexión principal se centra en el modelo cooperativo de vivienda. El proyecto a su vez pretende responder a los condicionantes y necesidades del entorno; revitalizar un barrio, que, aunque situado en un entorno privilegiado por su proximidad al Cauce del Río Turia, se caracteriza por el abandono de toda actividad y la ausencia de servicios. Se trata, en definitiva, de elaborar un trabajo a partir de la cota 0 y así, gracias a la arquitectura, tejer la relación entre ciudad/barrio, vecinos y hogar. Siendo el proyecto puente y transición entre lo colectivo y lo íntimo, fomentando la relación y la coexistencia de ambos conceptos. Será a través de la reflexión, la experimentación y el análisis de la diversidad tipológica cómo se materializará todo ello, de modo que atenderá a la propia diversidad de los habitantes.

En definitiva, trata de la búsqueda de nuevas formas de habitar.

[EN] Under the premise and the need to explore new ways of inhabiting, the collective habitat project was born, implemented in the Na Rovella neighbourhood, in the south of the city of Valencia.

The proposal develops a hybrid programme in which different uses coexist and whose main thread and main reflection focuses on the cooperative housing model. Simultaneously, the project aims to respond to the constraints and needs of the environment. To revitalise a neighbourhood, which, although located in a privileged environment due to its proximity to the Turia riverbed, is characterised by the abandonment of all activity and the absence of services. This project is a bridge and transition between the collective and the intimate, promoting the relationship and coexistence of both concepts. It will be through reflection, experimentation and analysis of typological diversity that all of this will materialise, so that it will attend to the diversity of the inhabitants themselves.

Lastly, it is about the search for new ways of inhabiting.
