Resumen
[EN] Since women have been allowed to access professional male-predominant fields such as architecture, their work has often been undervalued and dismissed in the historical record. Many of the designs and ideas of female architects longly disappeared from public view, but when reemerging on the surface, their traces tell a different (hi)story. In this sense, a paradigm shift is needed to a more accessible access to the legacy of female architects.Being architecture first a graphic discipline, graphic novels can play an essential role in preserving and showcasing the work of female architects. Graphic novels are a unique tool for allowing female architects' voices to be heard and their work to be recognised, even if sometimes it happened posthumously. Moreover, graphic novels can challenge the established patterns of representation in architecture, highlighting the diversity of experiences and perspectives that have shaped the history of architecture. By combining images and text, graphic novels also convey complex ideas and narratives in a way that is accessible to a broader audience, including those who may not have a background in architecture.
