Abstract

[EN] The works here discussed, Sebrae Headquarters, Ubatuba House, Deodoro Sports Complex, show how this new generation of architects considers the proper construction as a means of expression, and believes it should be, and they prove it to be, honest, clear and well designed. The care with junctions and joints of materials, how materials are handled, the level of detail and the clear exhibition of the parts and fi nishing, the constructive honesty, a mixture of traditional and prefabricated materials, and the demonstrative traces of the construction process point out to a promising path for Brazilian architecture, in which the concrete still seems to be a major player.

[ES] Las obras discutidas, la sede del Sebrae, la residencia en Ubatuba y el Complejo Deportivo de Deodoro, muestran como la nueva generación considera la propia construcción como un medio de expresión y cree que debe ser, y demostrar ser, honesta, clara y bien resuelta. El cuidado con las uniones y articulaciones de materiales, la forma como los materiales son tratados, el nivel de detalle por medio de la clara exposición de partes y remates, la honestidad constructiva, la mezcla de materiales tradicionales y prefabricados y el hacer evidente el proceso constructivo apuntan hacia caminos prometedores para la arquitectura brasileña, en los cuales el hormigón parece ser aún un importante protagonista.
