Abstract

[EN] In this paper we present a study on the statistical knowledge needs of students in grades Social Sciences, in particular the degree of Public Administration and Management and Labor Relations and Human Resources. The goal we set ourselves in this work is to determine the implications of statistical training a student receives at the stage of secondary education and analyse the competence level that reaches these qualifications by submitting a proposal to improve the transition.How it is involved in the knowledge of Statistics. For this, the secondary curriculum in key skills and university programs is analysed, also the profiles of these degrees give some statistics skills that must be acquired by the student throughout the process. Why these students lost their knowledge in Statistics and why the students have not seen the need for it?With this work, we can conclude that the elements that affect knowledge devoid of statistics when the student goes to college are intrinsic to the real situation of the teaching system in mathematics, and this is knowledge must be improved through Curriculum and all the elements that surround it. The errors related to some mathematical and statistical elements that have incidence in the development of specific ideas of the issue have been identified, as it is that the student is submitted to him to begin continuously with the knowledge of statistics, regardless of whether it has assumed the necessary prior knowledge.

[ES] En este artículo presentamos un estudio acerca de las necesidades de conocimiento estadístico del alumnado de grados de Ciencias Sociales, en concreto las titulaciones de Gestión y Administración Pública y Relaciones Laborales y Recursos Humanos, durante distintos cursos escolares. El objetivo que nos planteamos en este trabajo es determinar las implicaciones que tiene la formación en Estadística que recibe un estudiante en la etapa de educación secundaria y analizar el nivel competencial con el que llega a estas titulaciones, presentando una propuesta que mejora la transición, además conocer cómo se implican en el conocimiento de la Estadística. Para ello se analiza el currículo de secundaria en clave de competencias y los programas universitarios, también los perfiles profesionales de estas titulaciones obteniéndose unas habilidades estadísticas que deben haber adquiridas por el estudiante en todo el proceso. ¿Por qué estos estudiantes perdieron sus conocimientos en Estadística y por qué los mismos estudiantes no ven la necesidad de la misma?Con este trabajo, se puede concluir que los elementos que afectan al carente conocimiento de la Estadística cuando el alumnado pasa a la universidad, son intrínsecos de la situación real del sistema docente en matemáticas, y este es conocimiento debe ser mejorado a través del currículum y todos los elementos que lo rodean. Se han identificado los errores vinculados a algunos contenidos matemáticos y estadísticos que tienen incidencia en el desarrollo de ideas específicas de la materia, como puede ser que el alumnado se le somete a empezar continuamente con los conocimientos de estadística, sin tener en cuenta si tiene asumidos los conocimientos previos necesarios.
