Abstract

[EN] The question of the representation of landscape is a complex and longstudied argument which, nowadays, acquires a new perspective. On the one hand, the change in the notion of the concept of landscape in the contemporary context introduces the idea of process and experience as opposed to the contemplation of an alien reality to the observer, with the consequent need to incorporate into the project factors such as time and emotion, which are difficult to represent. On the other hand, the irruption of new technologies and the vertiginous development of Artificial Intelligence open up a world of new possibilities. This article will focus on the field of landscape representation in architectural projects, approaching some alternative techniques to the traditional ones, which provide new ways of representing concepts such as sound, smell, memory or time.

[ES] La cuestión de la representación del paisaje es un argumento complejo y largamente estudiado que, en nuestros días, adquiere una nueva perspectiva. Por una parte, el cambio de noción del propio concepto paisaje en el contexto contemporáneo introduce la idea de proceso y experiencia frente a la contemplación de una realidad ajena al observador, con la consiguiente necesidad de incorporar al proyecto factores como el tiempo y la emoción, difíciles de representar. Por otra parte, la irrupción de las nuevas tecnologías y el vertiginoso desarrollo de la Inteligencia Artificial abren un mundo de nuevas posibilidades. El presente artículo se centrará en el ámbito de la representación del paisaje en los proyectos de arquitectura, aproximándose a algunas técnicas alternativas a las tradicionales, capaces de aportar nuevas formas de representación de conceptos como el sonido, el olor, la memoria o el tiempo.
