[EN] This research examines the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of higher education, using ChatGPT as an example. The hype around AI tools in education has led to a skeptical attitude among many educators towards this technology. Based on a comprehensive literature analysis, the opportunities and risks of ChatGPT in higher education are identified and analyzed. The research concludes with a recommendation for a sensible use of ChatGPT in higher education. The results of this study can support educators in their decision-making process on whether and how to use ChatGPT as a tool in their teaching contexts.
