dc.description.abstract[EN] Hackney Marshes is a vast area of grassland in the East of London adjacent to the Olympic Park. Originally a marsh, it was drained in Medieval times, used for recreation and sport since the 18th century, and covered with rubble from damaged buildings during World War II. Today the place is best known for its expanse of football, rugby, and cricket pitches and is considered the home of Sunday League football.en_EN
dc.description.abstract[ES] Hackney Marshes es una gran área de pastizales en el este de Londres, una zona adyacente al Parque Olímpico. Siendo en origen un pantano, fue drenado en la época medieval y utilizado para la recreación y el deporte desde el siglo XVIII. Más tarde fue cubierto con escombros de edificios dañados durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Hoy en día, el lugar es conocido por su extensión, a través de la cual existen campos de fútbol, rugby y cricket, siendo considerado el hogar del fútbol de la Liga Dominical.es_ES
