UNA MIRADA PICTÓRICA A TRAVÉS DE LA VENTANA

Abstract

[EN] The purpose of this master´s project is to show a series of pictorial interventions where I use the window as a support in the creative process. We denominate “trial/error” as the working methodology through experimentation, and it is the way of our production. Thereby reflecting on the concepts of using the window as a canvas, the hybridization between photography and painting, and the relationship between everyday space and urban landscape from the pictorial point of view. In order to achieve this I’ve used as references the work of artists working in the field of expanded painting, as well as a personal body of work I’ve developed in Cuba and Spain.

[ES] El propósito de este trabajo fin de Máster es mostrar el proceso de creación de una serie de intervenciones pictóricas que utilizan la ventana como soporte. Usamos la experimentación como método creativo al que denominamos “ensayo/error”. Reflexionando con ello acerca de los conceptos de cuadro como ventana, la hibridación entre fotografía y pintura, y la relación entre el espacio cotidiano y el paisaje urbano desde un punto de vista pictórico. Se toma como referente la obra de varios artistas que trabajan en el campo de la pintura expandida, así como un trabajo artístico personal desarrollado en Cuba y España.
