El dibujo de los arquitectos. Estrategias gráficas en la representación arquitectónica

Abstract

[EN] This work studies the forms of architectural representation used by RCR Arquitectes, a trio of architects born in Olot, Girona, known for their singular focus on natural and cultural integration in their projects. Their architecture is characterised by the creation of spaces that convey emotions through simplicity, the play of light and shadow, experimentation with noble materials and the fusion of landscape with architecture. They stand out for encouraging the use of drawing as a tool for expressing ideas and exploring new forms of architectural representation, using sketches, watercolours and Indian ink. The study comprises an investigation of the architects¿ lives, followed by an analysis of their graphic techniques, and concludes with the evaluation of three case studies that exemplify the characteristics studied: the Soulages Museum in Rodez, France; the Barberí Space in Olot, Girona; and the Tussols - Basil Athletics Stadium in Olot, Girona.[ES] En el presente trabajo se estudian las formas de representación arquitectónica utilizadas por RCR Arquitectes, un trío de arquitectos nacidos en Olot, Girona, conocidos por su enfoque singular en la integración natural y cultural en sus proyectos. Su arquitectura se caracteriza por la creación de espacios que transmiten emociones a través de la simplicidad, el juego de luces y sombras, la experimentación con materiales nobles y la fusión del paisaje con la arquitectura. Destacan por fomentar el uso del dibujo como una herramienta para expresar ideas y explorar nuevas formas de representación arquitectónica, utilizando bocetos, acuarelas y tinta china.
