Busca una cara: retrato digital en pintura

Abstract

En este proyecto de Trabajo Final de Máster nos proponemos reflexionar y generar a través de la práctica pictórica y del uso multidisciplinar de los medios, un proyecto creativo que profundice sobre la psicología del retrato y el rostro en el contexto global de las nuevas tecnologías móviles representadas por los Mass Media, sirviéndonos de un lenguaje irónico y crítico. Nos centraremos en la aplicación de Snapchat como punto de partida iconográfico desde el que articularemos nuestro discurso, apropíandonos de la carga simbólica ímplicita en sus formas y repensándolas, en primer lugar, desde el dibujo, entendido como base desde la que partimos para crear el conjunto de asociaciones totales entre los elementos de este proyecto. Nuestro objetivo será crear un lenguaje actualizado que intente dar nuevas soluciones visuales a los modos en que nos autorrepresentamos en la red, partiendo de una hibridación entre técnicas y medios, desde una concepción tradicional del estilo, hasta su correcta hibridación con las formas que caractericen los medios tecnológicos del presente.

In this Final Master Project we propose to reflect and generate, through the pictorial practice and the multidisciplinary use of the media, a creative project that delves into the psychology of portraiture and face in the global context of the new mobile technologies represented by Mass Media, using an ironic and critical language. We will focus on the application of Snapchat as an iconographic starting point from which we will articulate our discourse, appropriating the symbolic charge in its forms and rethinking them, first, from the drawing, understood as the basis from which we start to create the whole of total associations between the elements of this project. Our objective will be to create an updated language that tries to give new visual solutions to the ways in which we represent ourselves in the network, starting from a hybridization between techniques and media, from a traditional conception of style, to its correct hybridization with the forms that characterize the technological means of the present.
