El retrato como objeto anónimo

Abstract

[EN] In the present project, an analysis of contemporary portraiture is presented through the image on the Internet. A series of anonymous photographs are extracted, and later developed into three artistic series in which the portrait is exposed as an object, stripped of all identity or context. Thus, concepts such as the ‘‘object portrait’’, anonymity and ‘‘non-portraits’’ arise, concepts which, in turn, situate the previous study and the theoretical basis of the project. I work with the evocation produced by the creation process itself, of pictorial materialization, going “beyond the face”: appropriation of the image and evocation for the subjective creation of a universe of paradoxically anonymous individuals

[ES] En el presente proyecto se plantea una reflexión artística en torno al retrato contemporáneo y la imagen en Internet. A partir de fotografías anónimas se desarrollan tres series pictóricas en las que el rostro es expuesto como un objeto, despojado de toda identidad o contexto. Surgen así el ‘’retrato objeto’’, el anonimato o los ‘’no retratos’’, conceptos que conforman el marco teórico del proyecto. El proceso de materialización de la obra expresa en su propia metodología la poética y el enigma de ir ‘‘más allá del rostro’’: apropiación de la imagen y evocación para la creación subjetiva de un universo de individuos paradójicamente anónimos.
