Diseño de un modelo de plan de gestión de la puesta en valor y la tutela del Palacio de las Vacas en Guadalajara, Jalisco, México

Abstract

[ES] Este Trabajo de Fin de Máster (TFM) se enfoca en la puesta en valor y revitalización del Palacio de las Vacas, una finca construida entre 1900 y 1910 en Guadalajara, Jalisco. Este edificio es un ejemplo la arquitectura ecléctica de finales del siglo XIX, combinando elementos neobarroco, neogóticos y Art Nouveau. El palacio es un valioso patrimonio cultural y símbolo de la de la época porfiriana en México.

El proyecto tiene como objetivo principal conservar y poner en valor tanto la estructura física como los bienes muebles del palacio, mediante la implementación de un plan integral. Este plan incluirá la catalogación de los elementos arquitectónicos y decorativos, la adecuación del espacio para eventos culturales, y la inclusión del palacio en listas de patrimonio cultural, tanto a nivel estatal como nacional.

En este trabajo se busca seguir los estándares nacionales de conservación, como los propuestos por el Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH) y el Inventario Estatal del Patrimonio Cultural de Jalisco. Este trabajo no solo se enfocará en la protección física del edificio, sino que también buscará fortalecer la identidad cultural de Guadalajara, promoviendo el turismo cultural y la participación comunitaria.

[EN] This Master s Thesis (TFM) focuses on the promotion and revitalization of the Palacio de las Vacas, an estate built between 1900 and 1910 in Guadalajara, Jalisco. This building exemplifies the eclectic architecture of the late 19th century, combining Neo-Baroque, Neo-Gothic, and Art Nouveau elements. The palace is a valuable cultural heritage site and a symbol of the Porfirian era in Mexico.

The main objective of this project is to preserve and enhance both the physical structure and the movable assets of the palace through the implementation of a comprehensive plan. This plan will include cataloging architectural and decorative elements, adapting the space for cultural events, and listing the palace as a cultural heritage site at both the state and national levels.

The project adheres to national conservation standards, such as those proposed by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) and the State Inventory of Cultural Heritage of Jalisco. Beyond the physical protection of the building, this work aims to strengthen Guadalajara s cultural identity by promoting cultural tourism and fostering community engagement.
