[EN] The fundamental objective is to study and test preventative strategies for a possible urban future under climate stress, based on predictions from the World Meteorological Organization. Its most pessimistic temperature prediction for the Gulf of Valencia in the summer of 2100 is an average of 33.2°C (day and night), in a world without control of aerosol and greenhouse gas emissions. What are the appropriate tools for designing habitats in this possible environmental scenario? What transformation must occur in the city and its elements to adapt the space to a more extreme environment? The proposal is to establish design mechanisms to achieve Holdridge ecological succession, a positive evolution towards a more complex organism better adapted to its environment. The IPCC predicts a transition to a BSh climate in the Köppen-Geiger classification for the Mediterranean area by 2100, an arid, dry, and extreme prediction, leaving behind a temperate habitat. The research aims to project the urban and architectural succession within the city's space through techniques and practices that utilize elements of nature—the elements with which Vitruvius understood and constructed his world. His elements not only give birth to all creation, but everything is also nourished by them, and they possess the power to sustain and preserve it. Like the body, the reference point for measurement, space cannot exist without a sufficient quantity of air, a proper proportion of solar heat without which it would lack vital energy, without a sufficient dose of the earth element that nourishes it, and without the mixture of the water element.
