REENCUENTRO CON EL ÁLBUM FAMILIAR. UN ANÁLISIS DE LA REPRESENTACIÓN FAMILIAR DESDE LA PRÁCTICA ARTÍSTICA

Abstract

Este trabajo, es una reflexión desde la práctica, sobre la representación de la familia, llevado a cabo a través de la ejecución de ilustraciones elaboradas con acuarela, lápices de color, pastel y collage; incluye también una serie de cuadros realizados con óleo sobre madera y sobre tela, en alguno de ellos, incorporo el mismo collage que en los dibujos. Se ha pretendido abordar temas como: la relación de la fotografía con la memoria, el reflejo de la intimidad desde la creación artística, la evolución del álbum fotográfico familiar desde los objetual a lo digital y la nostalgia hacia la fisicidad que esto provoca en la evolución de dicho álbum y sus nuevos usos en las redes sociales con la consecuente transformación y pérdida de privacidad. Todo ello llevado a cabo a partir de la representación, con fotografías propias, en las que aparecen los diferentes miembros de la familia como un grupo definido y unido, creando un álbum familiar único, físico, personal, íntimo, especial y de manufactura propia. This final degree project, takes its origin in a deep thought about family representation and its evolution. It has been carried out through the execution of several water-colored, crayoned, pasteled and collaged illustrations. It also includes a series of oiled-on-wood and oiled-on-canvas paintings. In some of them, I have included the same collage technique as in the illustrations. I have wanted to treat some main subjects such as the photography-memory relationship, the reflection of intimacy through artistic creativity, the growing nostalgic feeling for physicality as well as the family album objectification. Indeed, I have also dealt with the album evolution and the inevitable review of family album new uses: its brutal transformation and privacy lost is getting irreversible -through social media mostly-. All of this, is carried out through the representation of my own photographs in which all different members of my family appear as a defined and united front. This converges in a unique familiar album: physical, personal, intimate, special and manufactured by myself. Keywords: Family, Identity, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Time, Physical.
