SENSACIONES CONSTRUCTIVAS EN MADERA TRANSFORMANDO LA MATERIA

Abstract

El presente trabajo de Fin de Grado que se presenta és de carácter práctico y teórico, consta de esculturas de dimensiones medianas y grandes, construidas mediante materiales reciclados. Se explica el proceso constructivo de las piezas, se reflexiona sobre las posibilidades de transformar la materia y se habla de sensaciones expresados en las piezas.

Las piezas escultóricas están realizadas mediante maderas recicladas (a las cuáles se les vuelve a dar una segunda vida). El primer paso es cortar las maderas y ensamblarlas. Posteriormente se colocan los tacos de madera. Después, se lija con radial utilizando diferentes discos y a mano con papel de lija de diversos grosores. Por último, se aplican aceites, barnices y cera, según piezas. El objetivo principal de éste trabajo es mostrar la construcción de las piezas, reflexionar sobre la materia y mostrar sensaciones expresados en las piezas.

The present Thesis here displayed is both of practical an theorical character, consists of middle and large sized sculptures, constructed with recycled materials. The construction process is explained, while reflects about the possibilities of transforming matter and debates about the sensations expressed in the pieces. The sculptural pieces are made with recycled wood (which are given a second life). The first step is to cut the wood and assemble it. Subsequently, the wooden blocks are placed. Afterwards, it is sanded with the radial using different discs and by hand with sandpaper of diverse thickness. Finally, oils, varnishes and wax are applied, according to the piece. The main objective of this work is to show the construction of the pieces, to reflect about the matter and to express the sensations implied in the pieces.
