MIA: Agente de cambio para romper el techo de cristal

Abstract

[EN] MIA, the Spanish Association of Women in the Animation Industry, was born in 2018 with the aim of making the work of women in animation visible and changing the current situation of inequality that exists in the sector. This article overviews the factors that motivated the formation of the association and presents the actions taken in its almost five years of existence, particularly the MIA Report, which collects data on female representation in the Spanish animation industry, and the MIANIMA mentoring programme, which aims to promote projects of leading women in Spain and Latin America.

[ES] La asociación española de Mujeres en la Industria de la Animación MIA, nace en 2018 con el objetivo de visibilizar el trabajo de las mujeres en la animación y de cambiar la situación actual de desigualdad que hay en el sector. En este artículo se presentan los factores que motivan la creación de la asociación y se presentan las acciones realizadas en sus casi cinco años de trayectoria, particularmente el Informe MIA, el cual recoge los datos de la representación femenina en la industria española de la animación, y el programa de mentoría MIANIMA, cuyo fin es impulsar proyectos de mujeres líderes de España y Latinoamérica.
