Hotel + Spa en Sot de Chera

Abstract

Este proyecto se enmarca en la creación de un Hotel-SPA en Sot de Chera, municipio de la Comunidad Valenciana perteneciente a la provincia de Valencia, en la comarca de los Serranos. El inicio del desarrollo de dicho proyecto es la fase más difícil para un arquitecto, por un lado se trata de poner en valor una serie de cualidades del lugar a través de la edificación y por otro, que la edificación armonice con el medio donde esta se asentará. De esta forma, se inicia un proceso que debe reunir todas las bases de la arquitectura: implantación en el medio, organización funcional, valores formales y urbanos, y por último, definición constructiva y vinculación del edificio a la escala urbana y territorial. Respecto a la implantación del proyecto, se asume una premisa inicial que implica la ubicación de la parcela en la zona oeste, de forma que el acceso al hotel-SPA se realizará a través del primer vacío urbano que encontramos próximo a la entrada del pueblo. El edificio surge de la necesidad de tratar la ladera que sirve de nexo de unión entre la edificación existente y el río, es por esto, que en este lugar se ubicará el complejo, al cual se le dotará de un carácter diferente al del resto de las edificaciones situadas en el borde de la población. La estrategia de proyecto se ha basado en la colocación de una serie de piezas lineales de diferentes tamaños para que generen una imagen más dinámica del conjunto, en ellos se albergarán cuatro funciones: SPA, hotel y sala de conferencias, cafetería y restaurante. Todos los volúmenes estarán comunicados por un pasillo descentralizado, dando lugar a un esquema en forma de ¿peine¿. Esta idea se ha extraído de la Casa Horitzó de RCR Arquitectes, donde los cubículos que conforman cada una de las distintas funciones que se insertan en la montaña. El acceso al edificio se produce a través de la creación de una plaza exterior donde a través de un elemento de comunicación vertical nos llevará a la recepción. Una vez en este punto, se podrá acceder a los diferentes elementos que componen el conjunto hotelero. Todo el conjunto estará dotado de ventilación e iluminación natural, es por ello que se han utilizado diferentes herramientas, tales como patios interiores, cañones de luz y lucernarios. Por último, por lo que se refiere a las habitaciones, se ha decidido que estas se hallen enterradas. El proyecto quiere buscar dos aspectos: por un lado el toque rocoso que se conseguirá colocando las habitaciones enterradas donde solo accederá la luz natural a través del patio, y por otro lado, el aspecto náutico a través de las vistas directas al río desde la cafetería, restaurante y SPA. Utilizando todos estos recursos, se conseguirá un esquema claro donde se podrá leer con facilidad los volúmenes correspondientes al SPA, hotel y restaurante.

This project is framed in the construction of a SPA Hotel in Sot de Chera ¿ a town of the Valencian Community belonging to the province of Valencia in Los Serranos region. The starting point of this project development is the most difficult step for an architect. On the one hand, it entails an attempt to place value on a series of land qualities through the construction. On the other hand, blending the construction into the environment where it will be built. In this way, a process is initiated aiming to gather all basis of the architecture: environment integration, functional organization, formal and urban values and, thus, a constructive definition and a link of the building to the urban and territorial level. Regarding the project implementation, an initial premise is assumed. It implies the location of the plot in the west zone so that the first urban empty space, close to the town entrance, will serve as an access to the SPA hotel. The building arises from the need to treat the slope which links the existing building and the river; this is the reason why the building will be located in that zone. Moreover, a different aspect will distinguish it from the rest of the buildings located at the edge of the town. The project strategy has been based on the placement of a series of different sizes linear pieces to create a more dynamic appearance. Four functions will be placed: SPA, hotel and conference room, coffee shop and restaurant. All the volumes will be communicated by a decentralized corridor giving rise to a scheme in the form of a "comb". This idea derives from Casa Horitzó by RCR Arquitectes, where the cubicles form each function inserted in the mountain. Building access takes place through the creation of an outdoor square where a vertical communication element will take us to the reception. Once at this point, the access to the different elements of the hotel complex will be allowed. The whole complex will be endowed with ventilation and natural lighting; thus, different tools have been used such as indoor courtyards, light cannons and skylights. Lastly, it has been decided that rooms will be buried. The project aims to fulfil two aspects: the rocker-style by the buried placement of rooms and the access of natural light through the courtyard, and the nautical style through direct views of the river from the coffee shop, restaurant and SPA. By the use of these resources, a clear diagram will be achieved so the SPA, hotel and restaurant volumes will be easily read.
