Hotel Spa : Sot de Chera

Abstract

El proyecto se ubica en el municipio valenciano de Sot de Chera, una población enclavada en la parte baja de un valle por el que discurre el río Reatillo, el cual ha conformado desde su inicio la forma y organización de la localidad. Concretamente el proyecto se ha situado en la calle Canal, una vía recayente a la calle Valencia que constituye la principal articulación del municipio, lo que junto a su posición cercana a la entrada de la población y a la zona de aparcamiento permite un fácil acceso al proyecto. La elección de esta ubicación se ha debido también al mayor carácter natural de la zona por estar prácticamente desprovista de edificaciones además de por la propia orografía del terreno, cuyo desnivel permite adoptar mejor una estrategia de edificio aterrazado. Con respecto al proyecto, este consiste en un hotel más spa cuyo programa se ha resuelto de manera conjunta sin que ello impida el funcionamiento independiente de ambas piezas, las cuales incluyen áreas de recepción, vestuarios, servicios, solárium, baño interior, tratamientos de agua y 4 cabinas de masaje para el spa, así como zonas de recepción, servicio, sala de conferencias y reuniones, 18 habitaciones dobles, 2 suites y cafetería-restaurante para el hotel, siendo ésta última accesible tanto para huéspedes como para usuarios exteriores. La estrategia seguida para conformar el proyecto ha sido la de organizar el programa en una serie de planos superpuestos que, arrancando desde el nivel de calle, se van deslizando entre ellos de manera longitudinal y transversal al tiempo que parecen no querer separarse de los distintos bancales que se han conformado con objeto de regularizar el desnivel. La imagen de cultivos dispersos que posee actualmente la ribera del río se consolida mediante el tratamiento de la zona entre el proyecto y la población permitiendo así su interrelación. Por otro lado, con la fragmentación del proyecto se pretende obtener unas piezas más respetuosas con la escala de la población, pudiendo introducir de este modo patios entre las mismas que ayudan tanto con la iluminación como con la oxigenación de los espacios de circulación que conectan las distintas piezas en las que se organiza el edificio.

The project is located in the Valencian municipality of Sot de Chera, a town located in the lower part of a valley through which the river Reatillo flows, which has shaped the form and organization of the town since its inception. Specifically the project has been located on Canal Street, a road to Valencia Street which is the main articulation of the municipality, which together with its position near the entrance of the population and the parking area allows easy access to the project . The choice of this location has also been due to the greater natural character of the area because it is practically devoid of buildings as well as by the terrain itself, whose unevenness allows us to better adopt a terraced building strategy. With respect to the project, this consists in an hotel spa whose program has been solved together without this preventing the independent operation of both pieces, which include reception areas, dressing rooms, services, solarium, indoor bath, water treatments and 4 massage cabins for the spa, as well as reception areas, service, conference and meeting rooms, 18 double rooms, 2 suites and a restaurant for the hotel, the latter being accessible for guests and for outdoor users. The strategy followed to form the project has been to organize the program in a series of overlapping planes that, starting from the street level, are sliding between them in a longitudinal and transverse way while seeming not to be separated from the different terraces which have been shaped in order to regularize the unevenness. The image of dispersed crops currently possessed by the river bank is consolidated through the treatment of the area between the project and the population allowing their interrelation. On the other hand, with the fragmentation of the project it is tried to obtain pieces more respectful with the scale of the population, being able to introduce in this way courtyards between the pieces that help with both the illumination and the oxygenation of the circulation spaces that connect the different pieces in which the building is organized.
