Abstract

[ES] Reconversión de las antiguas naves de almacenamiento y reparación de la estación del Norte de Valencia del arquitecto Demetrio Ribes (situadas en el futuro Parque Central) en un centro de integración deportiva con apoyo médico y de orientación. Tras el estudio de la zona de influencia de las Naves de Ribes, y teniendo en cuenta la actividad y reivindicaciones del colectivo vecinal, finalmente se opta por un proyecto de integración mediante el deporte, con el deporte como hilo conductor de un acercamiento no solo entre vecinos sino también entre generaciones y nacionalidades de un barrio diverso. La pretensión es la de convertir nuestro centro en un foco de actividad, que promueva una vida alejada del sedentarismo en la que se aumente además el contacto entre individuos de un grupo que se presenta muy diverso. Programa: 1_Piscina; 2_zona deportiva alta intensidad; 3_zona deportiva baja intensidad; 4_zona de apoyo médico (Rehabilitación y Fisioterapia); 5_aulas de orientación; 6_zonas de encuentro, descanso y deambulación; 7_usos secundarios de servicio. Se utiliza el complejo de tres naves, una principal y dos naves gemelas secundarias y se crea una nave de nueva planta de dimensiones análogas a la nave principal. La piscina es una de las principales peticiones del colectivo. Se opta por dar cabida a una piscina que se convertirá en el principal activo del complejo. Para albergar dicha piscina se proyecta un edificio de nueva construcción, respetando así el patrimonio que parece no ser el más indicado para albergar una instalación que puede dañar el edificio. La nueva estructura albergará también los deportes de alta intensidad. De este modo, la nave principal se dedicará a actividades de menor intensidad, de grupos reducidos, que requieran especificaciones acústicas o técnicas de cualquier tipo, así como a zonas comunes y de encuentro entre usuarios tales como cafetería, zonas de descanso, administración, vestuarios. Las naves gemelas servirán para albergar la zona de apoyo médico y orientación deportiva. Además de dichos usos, el ayuntamiento propone destinar algunas naves a servicios sociales y educativos con los que el colectivo también se muestra conforme. Para ello se destinan la nave 4 y el muelle al sur.

[EN] Integrative Sports Center. The Project consists in the refurbishment of the old industrial buildings of storage and reparation at the North Railway Station of Valencia by the architect Demetrio Ribes (situated in the future Parque Central) into an integrative sports center with medical support and orientation. After the analysis of the area of influence of the Naves de Ribes, and keeping in mind the activity and revindications of the neighbourhood collective, finally it's chosen a project of integration with sport as the overarching element of the gathering, not only between the neighbours but also between generations and nacionalities from a very diverse neighbourhood. The aspiration is to convert our center in a focus of activity that promotes a life away from sedentariness and also increasing the contact between individuals from a group that presents very diversity. Program_ 1_Swimming pool; 2_high intensity sports; 3_low intensity sports; 4_medical support (recovery and physiotherapy); 5_sports orientation area; 6_gathering and resting areas; 7_secondary service uses. The spaces chosen to shelter the center are the main building and the secondary twin buildings. Also a new building is created with the same dimensions as the main building. The swimming pool is one of the main demands from the collective. It's chosen to do a swimming pool that will suppose the main asset of the complex. To shelter this swimming pool a new building is created, respecting this way the heritage that doesnt seem to be the most appropiate to shelter an installation that could damage it. This new structure will also shelter the high intensity sports. This way, the main building will be used for lower intensity activities of reduced groups that require acoustic or technical specifications, also gathering and contact areas between users like cafeteria, resting areas, administration, changing rooms. The twin buildings will shelter the medical support and sports orientation. As well as the mentioned uses, the city government (with the endorsement of the collective) proposes to use some other buildings of the complex for social and educative purposes. These will be placed in two other buildings belonging to the complex.
