Abstract

[IT] Il presente saggio presenta tematiche chiave riguardanti le foreste internazionali, tra cui le recenti tendenze nell¿evoluzione della copertura boschiva e il nesso con i cambiamenti socio-economici, climatici compresi l¿emergere del REDD, la biodiversità forestale, le foreste secche, gli incendi boschivi, le foreste e le ¿economie verdi¿, nonché la comunicazione forestale e l¿Anno Internazionale delle Foreste celebrato nel 2011.

[EN] The present paper presents key issues of international forestry like the recent evolution trends of forest cover and its linkages to socioeconomic changes, forests and climate change including the emergence of REDD, forest biodiversity, dry land forestry, forest fires, forestry and green economies and forest communication and the International Year of the Forests celebrated in 2011.
