Especismo Innato. Paralelismo entre tintas termocromáticas y actitudes especista

Abstract

EN “Especismo innato” presents a piece of interactive work aimed at changing audience perceptions by giving them control to influence and change reality through their own actions, allowing them to look deeper beyond the surface of the artwork, thus creating an entirely different context and meaning. Inviting the audience to explore and participate, to unearth the different layers within this work; an artists book, composed by a series of prints made from a combination of diverse graphic techniques, we grant them the opportunity to reconsider and evaluate their varying levels of speciesist habits by what is uncovered. The prints that are revealed, constructed using double images, form part of an exhibition project of graphic artwork on paper, where the topic of speciesism and interespecies relationships are explored from a philosophical perspective, specifically concerning the moral, ethical and altruistic differences on the frontiers between animals and humans are based.

"Especismo innato" tratará de poner en relieve mediante una serie de estampas,las conductas especistas que como human@s vamos adquiriendo a lo largo de nuestras vidas, asimilándolas como naturales desde las primeras etapas de enuestro desarrollo social y emocional. Para ello, se valdrá de imágenes dicotómicas en las que se mostrarán, mediante diferentes efectos, dualidades y contradicciones de esas realidades.
