Abstract

`Cuerpos Celestes: Investigación de los metales en Joyería¿ es un trabajo de joyería artística. En él hay un tema principal, el universo. Dentro del cual se recogen diferentes curiosidades de este. La meta final es representar nuestra propia visión poética de estos conceptos plasmada en una colección de joyería. Los dos objetivos principales son la relación entre la idea y el proceso, y la modificación del material. Esta obra es la unión entre el tradicional trabajo de orfebre y la joyería contemporánea. Buscando a través de técnicas antiguas resultados innovadores que rompan con ciertas ideas instauradas.

También habrá un trabajo referencial y de investigación detrás de ellas, donde se hable de ítems del universo, unido a la pieza de una forma artística. La característica fundamental que entra dentro del proceso de esta obra es la acción de trabajar el material, es decir, obrar sobre diferentes metales. Dándoles un aspecto diferente a lo que solemos ver de ellos, aunque propio igualmente. Se trata de jugar con la alteración de estos mismos. Las técnicas elegidas son oxidación y Mokume-Gane.

Sin duda, el diseño también es muy importante. Las formas son sencillas, para que concuerden a la perfección con el material y técnica utilizados, y la pieza no quede sobrecargada, dejándole un gran espacio de atención al material y su belleza. Hay tres series dentro del trabajo: `Las aguas de la Luna¿, `Los anillos de Saturno¿ y `Lactómeda¿. Y dentro de cada una hay dos piezas de joyería.

'Celestial Bodies: Investigation of metals in Jewelry' is a work of artistic jewelry. In it there is a main theme, the universe. Inside which are collected different curiosities of this. The final goal is to represent our own poetic vision of these concepts embodied in a jewelry collection. The two main objectives are the relationship between the idea and the process, and the modification of the material. This work is the union between the traditional work of goldsmith and contemporary jewelry. Looking through old techniques for innovative results that break with certain ideas put in place.

There will also be a referential work and research behind them, where we talk about items in the universe, together with the piece in an artistic way. The fundamental characteristic that enters into the process of this work is the action of working the material, that is, acting on different metals. Giving them a different look to what we usually see from them, although their own equally. It is about playing with the alteration of these. The chosen techniques are oxidation and Mokume-Gane.

Without a doubt, design is also very important. The shapes are simple, so that they agree perfectly with the material and technique used, and the piece is not overloaded, leaving a large space for attention to the material and its beauty.
