La piedra como materia en el entorno

Abstract

[ES] La piedra como materia en el entorno es un proyecto que reflexiona, a través de la talla de piedra, sobre el ritmo en el hacer manual y la percepción del tiempo y el espacio. Este trabajo es una profundización en el aprendizaje lento como método de conexión con el espacio. En la contemporaneidad el ritmo de producción lo marca la celeridad del mercado. En la fabricación de los objetos que consumimos encontramos incoherencias entre su concepción y utilitarismo. La celeridad del tiempo impuesto por el mercado junto con el sentimiento de hiperubicidad, crean una sensación de ‘deslocalización en el entorno’, de la que observamos las consecuencias ecológicas, aunque no nos centraremos en ello por las limitaciones del trabajo.El eje central de este proyecto es el desarrollo de la obra Ritmo I, se trata de una escultura tallada en piedra, siguiendo el proceso manual y un ‘ritmo lento’. Con esta experiencia parte la idea en la que profundizaremos acerca del tiempo cualitativo frente a cuantitativo, en el aprendizaje y la lógica en coherencia con el entorno. El resultado es la misma pieza, junto con otras piezas coetáneas que han sido expuestas en dos exposiciones colectivas, junto con la todo lo referente a la organización y la postproducción (montaje, catálogo y acreditación, fotografías, difusión...).

[EN] Stone as a matter in the environment is a project that reflects, through the stone carving, on the rhythm of manual making and the perception of time and space. This work is a deepening in slow learning as a method of connection with space. In the contemporaneity, the rhythm of production is marked by the speed of the market. In the manufacture of the objects we consume, we find inconsistencies between their conception and utilitarianism. The speed of time imposed by the market along with the feeling of hyper -ubiquity, create a feeling of 'delocalization in the environment', from which we observe the ecological consequences, although we will not focus on it due to the limitations of the work.The central axis of this project is the development of the work Ritmo I, it is a sculpture carved in stone, following the manual process and a 'slow rhythm'. With this experience starts the idea in which we will delve into qualitative versus quantitative time, in learning and logic in coherence with the environment.The result is the same piece, together with other contemporary pieces that have been exhibited in two collective exhibitions, together with everything related to the organization of its postproduction (assembly, catalog and accreditation, photographs, dissemination ...).
