ESTUDIO TÉCNICO, PROBLEMAS DE CONSERVACIÓN Y PROPUESTA DE INTERVENCIÓN DE TRES ESTRATOS PICTÓRICOS EJECUTADOS EN UN MISMO SOPORTE TEXTIL

Abstract

El presente Trabajo Fin de Grado se centra en el examen técnico y análisis de la problemática conservativa de una pintura sobre lienzo con tres estratos pictóricos superpuestos, derivados de la reutilización de la tela en diferentes periodos históricos.

Para ello, se ha realizado también un estudio de otras pinturas sobre tela que presentan esta complejidad, con el fin de conocer mejor los problemas conservativos derivados de esta práctica habitual entre muchos artistas a lo largo de la historia.

El lienzo objeto de estudio, es una copia del cuadro realizado por Francisco de Goya ¿El entierro de la sardina¿, donde gracias a los análisis realizados mediante rayos-X, examen estratigráfico de la capa pictórica y el estudio fotográfico pormenorizado mediante luz infrarroja y ultravioleta (entre otras), se han podido determinar cada una de las tres obras ejecutadas una sobre otra.

El trabajo finaliza con el planteamiento de una propuesta de intervención y un plan de conservación preventiva, adaptado a las condiciones del lugar donde se encuentra la obra.

The present End of Degree Project focuses on the technical examination and analysis of the conservative problems of a painting on canvas with three overlapping pictorial strata derived from the reuse of the fabric in different historical periods. For it, there has also been a study of other paintings on canvas that present this complexity, with the purpose of better understand the conservative problems derived from this habitual practice among many artists throughout history. The canvas object of analysis, is a copy of the painting made by Francisco de Goya "The burial of the sardine" where thanks to the X-ray analysis, stratigraphic examination of the pictorial layer and the detailed photographic study using infrared and ultraviolet light (among others), it has been possible to determine each of the three paintings executed one on another. The project ends with the proposal of an intervention proposal and a preventive conservation plan, adapted to the conditions of the place where the painting is located.
