ESTUDIO TÉCNICO DE UNA TABILLA FIRMADA POR J. SOROLLA.APROXIMACIÓN A UNA POSIBLE AUTENTIFICACIÓN

Abstract

[EN] In this final degree work we conducted a stylistic and technical study of the piece of art with the name of Joaquín Sorolla in the firm. We will carry out a compositional, technical study and the state of conservation of these piece. Also, we will address the study of the technique and materials normally used by the artist to check if they correspond to the properties of the work under study. Based on the results obtained, we intend to corroborate or disprove an existing previous report that determines that the authorship of the work is not by Joaquin Sorolla, finding Titanium White among the pigments analyzed. This report does not specify the methods of analysis used and is incomplete. According to consulted bibliography there were some painters who experimented with said pigment at the time of the artist's creation.

[ES] En este trabajo final de Grado realizamos un estudio estilístico y técnico de la obra con el nombre de Joaquín Sorolla en la firma. Realizaremos un estudio compositivo, técnico y del estado de conservación de la obra. Asimismo, abordaremos el estudio de la técnica y materiales empleados normalmente por el artista para comprobar si se corresponden con las propiedades de la obra objeto de estudio. En función de los resultados obtenidos pretendemos corroborar o desmentir un informe previo existente que determina que la autoría de la obra no es de Joaquín Sorolla, al encontrar Blanco de Titanio entre los pigmentos analizados. Este informe no especifica los métodos de análisis utilizados y se encuentra incompleto. Según bibliografía consultada hubo algunos pintores que experimentaron con dicho pigmento en la época de creación del artista.
