Cartografías nómadas. Una imagen de la migración

Abstract

[EN] This Final Master's project titled Nomadic Cartographies is about An image of the migration, (voluntary and forced) migrations given by the current social-political and economic crisis that many of our young people of our community suffer and that forces them "voluntarily" to go to other places with better jobs. Both the creative process and the reflective analysis of this work is about the images and the role they occupy in our lives. The artistic production focuses on migrations, in the idea of, leaving the place of native residence and facing the unknown, the new. We are also involved by this project, with the need to abandon individuality to give way to the community. So we ll have the opportunity to draw up a collaborative network that participates in the project and that is part of it. The technique to objectity the project will be the photographic image and the tool to draw this link will be through the Mail Art or Postal Art that we will use as a vehicle to transport the information, to send it, receive it and transform it. With all this and as a long-term project, an artistic object will be built in Photobook format that will reflect both the exchanges made through this collaborative network and the whole process of artistic creation that we are developing.

[ES] Este trabajo final de Máster titulado Cartografías nómadas. Una ima- gen de la migración, versa sobre las migraciones ¿voluntarioforzosas¿ dadas por la actual crisis social-política y económica que padecen muchos de los jóvenes de nuestra comunidad y que les obliga ¿volun- tariamente¿ a tener que partir hacia otros lugares con mejor proyec- ción laboral. Tanto el proceso creativo como el análisis reflexivo del presente trabajo gira entorno a las imágenes y al papel que estas ocupan en nuestras vidas. La producción artística reflexiona sobre las migra- ciones, el tener que dejar, abandonar el lugar de residencia natal y enfrentarse a lo desconocido, a lo nuevo. Nos mueve, además, en este proyecto, la necesidad de abandonar la individualidad para dar paso a la comunidad, la cual dará oportunidad a trazar una red colabo- rativa que participe en el proyecto y que forme parte de él. La técnica para dar ficisidad y objetualidad al proyecto será la imagen fotográ- fica y la herramienta para trazar este vínculo sera a través del mail art o arte postal que utilizaremos como vehículo para transportar la información, para mandarla, recibirla y transformarla. Con todo ello y como proyecto a largo plazo se construirá un objeto artístico en formato Fotolibro que reflejará tanto los intercambios realizados mediante esta red colaborativa como todo el proceso de creación artística que estamos desarrollando.
