RETRATOS CERCANOS

Abstract

Este proyecto se incluye dentro del género del retrato desde una práctica pictórica relacionada con la representación de personas de nuestro entorno más cercano. Indagando en sus cualidades físicas y psíquicas, intentamos establecer una conexión entre la identidad individual y la identidad social para abordar la pintura.

La producción artística se compone de una serie de retratos pictóricos que parten de referentes fotográficos. Por medio de una pintura figurativa retratamos la personalidad y la gestualidad del individuo. Los retratos pretenden captar la atención del espectador para incitar su acercamiento y su transitoria participación cuando se ve reflejado sobre la misma superficie, formando un doble retrato.

El proceso de trabajo llevado a cabo con anterioridad ha respaldado nuestra reflexión personal sobre el tema y nos ha llevado a la realización de este proyecto, en el que cada pieza tiene unas características personales distintas. Se ha intentado dejar al descubierto la esencia del modelo mediante una interpretación pictórica que distingue las cualidades del grupo social al que pertenecen, al igual que las personas reflejadas, creándose una relación mediante la comunicación no verbal entre individuos.

This project is included within the genre of the portrait from a pictorial practice related to the representation of people from our closest environment. Inquiring into their physical and psychic qualities, we try to establish a connection between the individual identity and the social identity to approach the painting.

The artistic production consists of a series of pictorial portraits based on photographic references. By means of a figurative painting we portray the personality and the gestuality of the individual. The portraits aim to capture the attention of the viewer to incite their approach and their transitory participation when it is reflected on the same surface, forming a double portrait.

The work process carried out previously has supported our personal reflection on the subject and has led us to the realization of this project, in which each piece has different personal characteristics. An attempt has been made to uncover the essence of the model through a pictorial interpretation that distinguishes the qualities of the social group to which they belong, as well as the people reflected, creating a relationship through non-verbal communication between individuals.
