Sobre los mitos: metáforas de lo humano y la pintura

Abstract

"Sobre los mitos: metáforas de lo humano y la pintura", nace con la necesidad artística de rescatar aquellas fábulas que daban sentido a un mundo confuso, recogían la historia, explicaban la naturaleza y dictaban como se debía vivir. Se basará en una serie de 11 cuadros en diferentes técnicas pictóricas, inspirados en las obras del pintor prerrafaelista William Waterhouse, los renacentistas Sandro Botticelli o Miguel Angel, simbolistas como Klimt, Edward Burne-Jones, Odilon Redón, franz Von Stuck, Blake..., o en las ilustraciones y viñetas de cómic de artistas más contemporáneos como Milo Manara, Moebius o Phillipe Caza, serían estos los mas destacados entre muchos otros referentes, por lo que cada cuadro estará dotado de diferentes registros pictóricos, recurriendo y empleando los conocimientos adquiridos estos años de formación en la especialidad de pintura. En este proyecto se darán cita el amor, el odio la envidia, el origen de los males, las desgracias y venturas del hombre con los dioses, monstruos y héroes. Cada mito simbolizará toda esta serie de sentimientos y circunstancias anteriormente nombradas haciendo así, un ejercicio de reflexión en el que la pintura se convierte en lenguaje de la metáfora y viceversa. Es también, una tarea de investigación, de bucear en la historia del arte, estudiar como los ha interpretado haciendo un recorrido iconográfico desde la Grecia clásica, el Renacimiento, el Simbolismo/ Romanticismo y sus respectivos autores a los que cito en líneas anteriores, que han nutrido y cuya influencia quedará patente en este trabajo. Es evidente que no es un proyecto únicamente formal, cada una de las obras posee un trasfondo literario y cultural y pone de manifiesto un concepto presente en el imaginario popular de la sociedad desde la Antigüedad, el del mito como metáfora ante las circunstancias y acontecimientos que le ocurren al ser humano.Realmente la intención de este proyecto es la de perpetuar la visión alegórica del mundo a través de los mitos en el lenguaje plástico.

In this project love, hate, envy, the origin of evils, misfortunes and ventures of man with gods, monsters and heroes will meet. Each myth will symbolize all this series of feelings and circumstances previously named doing so, an exercise of reflection in which the painting becomes the language of metaphor. It is also a research task, to dive into the history of art, to study how he has interpreted them taking an iconographic journey from Classical Greece, the Renaissance, Symbolism / Romanticism and their respective authors to which I quote in previous lines, which have nurtured and whose influence will be evident in this work.

It is evident that it is not a purely formal project, each of the works has a literary and cultural background and highlights a concept present in the popular imagination of society since antiquity, that of myth as a metaphor for the circumstances and events that they happen to the human being. Really the intention of this project is to perpetuate the allegorical vision of the world through the myths in the plastic language.
