La Xilografía y los Sentidos. Análisis del grabado en madera y del mundo perceptivo

Abstract

Parto desde el planteamiento de querer emprender una investigación en una nueva técnica como medio de expresión. Cómo puedo llevar la fluidez y frescura de una línea gráfica, que hasta ahora había realizado por medio de tintas y materiales directos, a un soporte rígido y costoso de tratar como lo es la madera. Mi trabajo se basa en descubrir como transportar mis conocimientos sobre el grafismo a otro nivel, aportándome un abierto mundo de posibilidades y conocimientos. Esta idea creará un desarrollo en mis aptitudes conceptuales y gestuales. Buscando una libertad de trazos, una soltura que no facilita la técnica y una nueva conexión con la obra involucrándome dentro del material acentuando la sensibilidad y el contacto con el trabajo a realizar. Me planto este proyecto como una oportunidad de evolucionar al mismo tiempo la observación, la capacidad sensitiva y la confianza en la realización del trabajo. I start from the premise of wanting to undertake research into a new technique as a means of expression. How can I bring the fluidity and freshness of a graphic line, which until now I had made with inks and direct materials, to a rigid and expensive support to treat as wood is. My work is based on discovering how to transport my knowledge of graphics to another level, giving me an open world of possibilities and knowledge. This idea will create a development in my conceptual and gestural skills. Looking for a freedom of strokes, a looseness that does not facilitate the technique and a new connection with the work involving myself inside the material accentuating the sensitivity and the contact with the work to be done. I see this project as an opportunity to evolve at the same time the observation, the sensitive capacity and the confidence in the accomplishment of the work.
