La accesibilidad en el patrimonio : Ruta accesible por el Centro Histórico de Valencia

Abstract

El trabajo pretende analizar, sobre una ruta turística propuesta por el Ayuntamiento de Valencia, las dificultades con las que se encuentran las personas con diversidad funcional a la hora de visitar nuestro centro histórico y los monumentos que lo constituyen. Partiendo de la idea de que todas las personas tenemos los mismos derechos, ponemos especial interés en que el acceso al patrimonio cultural es uno de esos derechos básicos en los que tenemos que trabajar tratando de eliminar barreras arquitectónicas, evitar itinerarios discriminatorios, mejorar la señalización y corregir actitudes inapropiadas de los agentes que intervienen en la atención de estos colectivos. Para ello, este trabajo presenta unos objetivos claros: - Estudiar las necesidades urbanísticas de la ruta oficial de la ciudad por el centro histórico de Valencia que hagan posible el movimiento autónomo de personas con diversidad funcional a través de un itinerario accesible para la visita de los monumentos más representativos de la ciudad - Estudiar las necesidades de los edificios patrimoniales incluidos en la ruta por el centro histórico para adaptarlos a todos los usuarios - Recopilar información útil para que el usuario pueda consultarlo y tener un mejor acceso al estado en el que se encuentra el entramado urbano y/o monumento que va a visitar, facilitándole la visita de antemano. - Proponer intervenciones respetuosas con el contexto histórico en el que nos encontramos para alcanzar la máxima accesibilidad de los usuarios - Analizar la mejora y la revitalización del centro histórico con estas actuaciones

Para realizar este estudio se ha elegido la ruta oficial que el Ayuntamiento de Valencia ofrece por el casco antiguo en su página oficial de turismo. Está formada por 16 monumentos y su enlace urbano. Comenzando en las Torres de Serrano, continúa por la calle Conde Trénor y calle Muro de Santa Ana hasta llegar a la Plaza de San Lorenzo donde accederemos al Palacio de Benicarló. Continuando por la calle Navellos y girando a la derecha en la Plaza de la Mare de Déu llegaremos a la Plaza Manises donde encontramos los 3 siguientes monumentos de nuestra ruta, el Palacio Baylía, el Palacio del Marqués de Scala y el Palau de la Generalitat. Volviendo a la Plaza de la Mare de Déu por la calle Cavalleros visitaremos la Real Basílica de la Virgen de los Desamparados y continuando por la calle Micalet llegaremos a la Catedral de Valencia. Saliendo de la Catedral tendremos ante nosotros La Plaza de la Reina por donde tras visitarla tomaremos la calle de la Barcella llegando a la plaza de la Almoina para visitar el Centro Arqueológico de la Almoina y continuar por la calle de la Farina hasta la calle del Almudín y en la plaza de San Luis Bertrán visitar El Almudín. Bajando la calle de los Venerables cruzaremos la calle del Palau continuando por la calle de las Avellanas; girando a la izquierda en la calle del Mar y a la derecha por la calle de Castellvins cruzaremos la calle de La Paz y seguiremos por la calle del Marqués de Dos Aguas donde visitaremos el Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas (Museo Nacional de Cerámica) y por la calle dels Llibrers el Palacio de Boïl Arenós. Volviendo los pasos por donde hemos venido caminaremos por la Raconada de Federico García Sánchiz y la calle de la Abadía de San Martin donde giraremos a la izquierda por la calle de San Vicente llegando a la Plaza del Ayuntamiento para visitar el Ayuntamiento de Valencia. Saliendo de la Plaza del Ayuntamiento por la avenida de María Cristina y continuando por la plaza del Mercado tendremos acceso a nuestros 2 siguientes monumentos: El Mercado Central y La Lonja de la Seda que tiene acceso actualmente por la calle de la Lonja a espaldas de la puerta principal. Siguiendo la plaza del Mercado hasta la calle Bolsería llegaremos a la Plaza del Tossal la cual abandonaremos hacia la izquierda por la calle Quart donde visitaremos nuestro último monument

The work aims to analyze, on a tourist route proposed by the City Council of Valencia, the difficulties encountered by people with functional diversity at the time of visiting our historic center and the monuments that constitute it. Starting from the idea that all people have the same rights, we put special interest in the fact that access to cultural heritage is one of those basic rights in which we have to work to eliminate architectural barriers, avoid discriminatory itineraries, improve signage and correct inappropriate attitudes of the agents that intervene in the attention of these groups. For this, this work presents clear objectives: - To study the urbanistic needs of the official route of the city through the historical center of Valencia that make possible the autonomous movement of people with functional diversity through an accessible route for the visit of the most representative monuments of the city - To study the needs of heritage buildings included in the route through the historic center to adapt them to all users - Gather useful information so that the user can consult it and have better access to the state in which the urban fabric and / or monument that is going to visit is located, facilitating the visit in advance. - Propose interventions respectful of the historical context in which we find ourselves in order to achieve maximum accessibility for users - Analyze the improvement and revitalization of the historic center with these actions To carry out this study, the official route that the Valencia City Council offers through the old town on its official tourism page has been chosen. It is formed by 16 monuments and its urban link. Starting at Serrano Towers, continue along Conde Trénor Street and Muro de Santa Ana Street until you reach Plaza de San Lorenzo where we will access the Benicarló Palace. Leaving the Town Hall Square along the avenue of Maria Cristina and continuing through the Market Square we will have access to our 2 following monuments: The Central Market and La Lonja de la Seda which currently has access through the street of the Lonja behind the back of the front door. Following the Market square to Bolsería Street we will arrive at the Plaza del Tossal, which we will leave to the left along the street Quart where we will visit our last monument of the route, the Quart Towers.
